This is my personal blog, which focuses on practical living. My mission is to help bring difficult (sometimes esoteric topics) into a more tangible experience. Since I enjoy reading & writing on a variety of topics, you can expect that my posts won’t always fit into neat little categories.
My goal is to generate insightful, relevant dialogue that will challenge your thinking and – as a result – how you approach the world.
WHO AM I?
To some, I am a Priest in the Coptic Orthodox Church. After being blessed to serve for over eight years amongst some of the greatest people I know at a Church in inner city Queens (NY), I currently (as of September 2013) am serving at St. Anianus Coptic Orthodox Church in Princeton, NJ.
Amongst other things, I am a co-founder of the St. Cyril Society, a non-profit organization aimed at raising the awareness of Orthodox Christian teachings through Patristic living, research and education.
But the thing that brings me the greatest joy is the relationships in my life. I have been married to my wife, Mora, for ten years. We have three children and enjoy living in New Jersey. Having moved all over the United States (Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Orange County, Dallas / Fort Worth, Austin, Nashville, Central Jersey, Queens before coming back to New Jersey), I have had the opportunity to meet people from everywhere you can imagine and have made some great friends along the journey.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, running, playing basketball, watching sports and just relaxing with friends.
